Admins voted to add the following rule to the ruleset for all ladders and leagues:

The lagometer is no longer allowed for any ladder or league sponsored by the ECL. There are no exceptions to this rule. If the lagometer appears in your UAC2 screenshots you will be subject to the standard ECL rule violation procedures: Suspension and automatic match forfeit. Repeated offenses will result in a permanent ban.

The roster limit in the 3v3 Ladder has been raised from 6 to 8 effective immediately.

Monday, 01 March 2010 02:41

UAC2 will be mandatory for all ECL sponsored Ladders and Leagues effective March 15, 2010. If a player or team does not utilize the program for a match then they automatically forfeit that match and are suspended from all Ladders and Leagues.

Match IDs

Match IDs shall be handled as follows: MisFits vs MLS on Mar 15, 2010. The ID for that match will be misfitsvsmls-3-15-10. If there is more than one match between the two clans on the same day at the same time then simply add the ladder after the date. For example: misfitsvsmls-3-15-10aw and misfitsvsmls-3-15-10so

If you have any questions contact a member of ECL Management.

UPDATE!! (and a reminder)

We have put together a UAC2 FAQ. This section can be found under the Rule Sets. The FAQ will contain the answers to the most commonly asked questions concerning UAC2.

We want to remind everyone that the MOHAA ladders are stock. This means no blood mods, custom hud mods, scope mods, crosshair mods, custom skins, etc. These mods will show up in your UAC2 screenshots. Players will be suspended from ladder play for running client side mods.

We encourage all players to familiarize themselves with the Rule Sets for the ladders and leagues they compete in.

The ECL has been testing a client side anti-cheat program first used by ClanBase called Ultimate Anti-Cheat 2 or UAC2 for short. It has long been a goal of ours to bring a small, simple client side anti-cheat program to the ECL and UAC2 fits the bill.

What is UAC2?

UAC2 is a client side Anti-Cheat program that works across all games and provides the community with the power to find and shame cheaters in all multiplayer games. Packaged in is the unparrelled security of player screenshots to ensure data remains as accurate as possible.

How does it work?

UAC2 runs in the background while you play in a match randomly screenshotting the client at intervals not to exceed 5 minutes. Thumbnails of these screenshots are uploaded as the match is played. Once the match is over, the program will upload full resolution screenshots in place of the thumbnails. Since MOHAA is a supported game, a cheat definition file is included in the client which scans the player during the match. Any registered user of UAC2 can view the screenshots of any player at anytime.

How much does it cost?

It is FREE!

Where do you get it?

UAC2

Is this a required program?

At the moment we are simply alerting all players in the ECL of UAC2. However, we fully expect to make this anti-cheat program mandatory in the very near future. We have been looking for a suitable replacement to DMW Pro in part due to the cost of DMW Pro and also due to the difficulty some players have running the client.

We encourage all participants in the ECL to download and begin running UAC2. We do not want anyone to be caught short when the ECL transitions to full time, mandatory use of this program.

Who can we talk to concerning UAC2?

The creators of UAC2 are working very hard to improve the program and would love to receive as much feedback as possible concerning the day to day use of UAC2. By creating your player account you also gain access to the UAC2 forums. ECL Management member Rush will be the point of contact for participants of the Elite Clan Ladder. Please note that all members of ECL Management are available to assist anyone who needs guidance with UAC2.

Rush's UAC2 ID is zenrush. If you wish to see what a screenshot looks like then simply install UAC2, register as a client and search zenrush in the Screens section of the client. You can also view a player's profile online: zenrush

What about DMW Pro?

DMW Pro is no longer the anti-cheat of choice in the ECL. All previous rules regarding the use of DMW Pro are hereby null and void as of today.
